Changes in divisional management at Valora Media
Christian Schock to return to Luxembourg for personal reasons and leave Valora´s Group Executive Management
Christian Schock, CEO of Valora Media and a Luxembourg national, has informed Valora´s Board of Directors and Group Executive Management of his intention to return home for family reasons with effect from January 1, 2010. While the Board and his Executive Management colleagues regret his decision, they are understanding of its motivation. They are most grateful to Christian Schock for his services as division head of Valora Media and as a member of Group Executive Management and are pleased that he will continue to work for Valora.
Christian Schock will now assume local management responsibility for Valora´s activities in Luxembourg. He will also head up Valora´s Media International business, a role in which he will continue to foster the important business relationships with the Group´s publishing partners at a European level, thus helping to secure the future of Valora Media´s press business.
A search for a successor has already been initiated. Until a new division head has been appointed, Thomas Vollmoeller, Valora´s CEO, will assume interim management responsibility for the Valora Media division, which will be re-named Valora Services during 2010. The new name has been chosen as a means of emphasising the division´s strategic focus on end-customers and trading partners.
