6-month report
29.07.2009
The financial year 2009 is developing well for IVU. All key performance figures at the end of the first six months are well above the interim figures for the previous year. Revenue and gross profit have both shown a 24% increase to EUR 15.8 million and EUR 12.7 million respectively (compared to EUR 12.8 million and EUR 10.2 million for the first half of the previous year). Earnings before interest and tax (EBIT), earnings before taxes, and the consolidated profit / loss are all up by EUR 900 000 or more.
For the second quarter of the financial year 2009, revenue is EUR 0.9 million higher than for Q2 2008 (at EUR 8.5 million against EUR 7.6 million). EBIT is EUR 0.2 million weaker and thus a little lower than in the same quarter in 2008 (2009: EUR 0.1 million, 2008: EUR 0.3 million).
The order book situation is good. Orders received cover almost 90% of the planned gross profit for 2009, and there are considerable order reserves for the coming year.
In June the long-term bank loan was finally paid off, so that IVU is now fully debt-free for the first time in many years.
The prospects for the financial year 2009 remain unchanged from the first quarter report. We continue to expect an annual revenue of EUR 35 million and a gross profit of EUR 27 million.
