Munich, July 8, 2002. Convening today after the annual meeting of shareholders, the Supervisory Board of ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG elected Wolfgang van Betteray, a member of the management of KirchMedia GmbH & Co. KGaA, as its chair. Wolfgang Hartmann, member of the Executive Board of Commerzbank AG, was elected vice-chair.
In addition to Mr. van Betteray and Wolfgang Hartmann, the Munich annual meeting of the shareholders of ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG had just elected Norbert Deigner, an authorized company representative of KirchMedia Beteiligungs Verwaltungs GmbH; and Fred Kogel, a member of the management of KirchMedia GmbH & Co. KGaA, to the Supervisory Board. The Supervisory Board of ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG additionally comprises, as formerly, Dr. Mathias Döpfner, Chairman of the Executive Board of Axel Springer Verlag AG; Alfred Lehner, former Chairman of the Executive Board of Bayerische Landesbank Girozentrale AG; Prof. Dr. Hans-Joachim Mertens, of Johann Wolfgang Goethe-University in Frankfurt; Hans Reischl, Chairman of the Executive Board of REWE-Zentral AG; and Gisela Schmitt, a member of the Executive Board of REWE-Zentral AG.
The supplementary elections to the Supervisory Board became necessary after the resignation of former chair Dr. Dieter Hahn, his deputy chair Thomas Kirch, Dr. Klaus Piette, and Jan Mojto on June 21, 2002.
