Eindhoven, November 3, 2004 Catalis N.V. announces the preliminary unaudited results for the first nine months of fiscal year 2004.
In the first nine months of the fiscal year 2004 Catalis N.V. has increased its earnings before tax by 89.5% to euro 1.3 million from euro 0.6 million last year. Earnings per share amounted to 0.09 euro after 9 months compared to 0.05 euro in the previous year. EBIT was increased by more than 33% to euro 1.2 million (last year: euro 0.9 million). Revenues increased by 11% to euro 3.9 million from 3.5 million.
The third quarter of fiscal year 2004 was characterised by significant growth in sales and attractive margin expansion. Revenues increased by 12% to euro 1.6 million (from 1.4 million). EBIT margins expanded to more than 40%. Operating profits amounted to euro 633,000 representing an increase of 32.5% from previous years euro 478,000. Pre tax profits increased to euro 629,000 from 545,000 in the third quarter of fiscal year 2003.
Based on such strong operating performance Catalis has already achieved its previously announced full year 2004 profit targets of between euro 1.1 million and euro 1.3 million and therefore increases its full year target to now between euro 1.3 million and euro 1.5 million.
