The supervisory board of Solar-Fabrik AG appointed Dr. Freddy Goh to the management board as announced by Alfred T. Ritter in his capacity as chairman of the supervisory board and Georg Salvamoser, the Chief Executive Officer at Solar-Fabrik AG. Today the service agreement was signed.
As of May 01, 2006, Dr. Freddy Goh will be the CTO on the management board at Solar-Fabrik. He will be handling technology and development as the successor of Andreas Heymann, who passed away on December 31, 2005. With his appointment, the management board at Solar-Fabrik is once again complete.
45 years old and born in Singapore, Freddy Goh studied electrical engineering at the University of Arkansas in the US. After receiving his doctorate in 1992, he began work as an engineer for process engineering at Texas Instruments in Dallas, Texas.
In 1996, Dr. Freddy Goh founded ABM Semiconductors in Singapore as a managing partner; the company was specialized in the development and production of wet bench technology. The company was already known for its innovative methods of wafer processing and preparation in the year of its founding. A year later, he founded ISP in Singapore, a specialist in the field of wafer cleaning with a focus on the semiconductor industry. In addition, in 2006 he founded Solar Energy Power Pte Ltd (SEP), a company specialized in the production of solar cells that started off with 5 MW of production capacity in March of 2006. Another 20 MW of capacity is already planned, which will result in a machine capacity of 25 MW in 2007.
Dr. Freddy Goh now handles the technical (further) development in all areas of the solar value chain at the Solar-Fabrik Group. The supervisory board and the management board are convinced that Dr. Freddy Goh will be a CTO whose expertise in development will make a significant contribution to the evolution of Solar-Fabrik into a fully integrated solar corporation.
