Die Putnam Investments, Boston, MA, United States of America hat der Salzgitter Aktiengesellschaft am 22.05.2007 Folgendes mitgeteilt:
In the name and on behalf of our subsidiaries Putnam Investment Management, LLC located at One Post Office Square Boston, Massachusetts USA and The Putnam Advisory Company, LLC also located at One Post Office Square Boston, Massachusetts USA, we herewith withdraw our notification of 5 February 2007 regarding the holding of voting rights held in Salzgitter AG, Eisenhüttenstraße 99, 38239 Salzgitter, according to §§ 21, 22 WpHG, because we were not subject to any shareholding disclosure obligations. None of the aforementioned subsidiaries held 3 % or more of shares with voting rights in Salzgitter AG. Putnam Investment Management LLC and the Putnam Advisory Company, LLC qualify as sister companies within the Putnam group. An aggregation of voting rights at the level of sister companies is not required.
