SKYDAY - The World Cup in Parachuting comes to Vienna

From 21 to 28 September, the international parachuting elite will meet in Vienna, Austria for their fourth world cup.
The SKYDAY event will be attended by 30 teams from the US, Russia, Japan, Australia, Germany, Denmark, Brazil, Italy, Israel, Norway, Portugal, Sweden, Finland, Austria and Switzerland, who qualified at their national championships.
For the first time, the public event will feature disciplines such as freefly, skysurfing and freestyle in and above a large town. Austria is the fourth country to qualify for the world cup at the FAI (http://www.fai.org), after Turkey in 1996, Portugal in 1998 and the US in 2000.
The highpoint will be the finale and a spectacular line up of concerts and related events on Vienna's Donauinsel on 27 and 28 September. Spectators can follow daredevil stunts - free of charge - on enormous videowalls via air-to-ground transmission. Acts such as hiphoppers Massive Töne and surfdog7 will perform live over the two days, while over 10 DJs and gastronomic highlights will make this an unforgettable event.
The kick-off event, VIENNA IN MOTION - with over 50 DJs and live acts - will be held at Vienna's City Hall on 21 September.
