Corporate Email Users Can Now Send SMS Messages Regardless Of Carrier Or Wireless Device
Gordano, an international developer of robust e-mail messaging products, announced the addition of SMS (short messaging service) to its Messaging Suite of products today. For the first time corporate email users worldwide will be able to receive SMS messages via their mobile phones and pagers, directly from their corporate email.
The SMS feature integrates with Gordano's existing web mail, providing alerts directly to phones when important email or appointments are due. For example, an employee can create an event in a CEO's calendar, and they will be reminded 10 minutes before the meeting via an SMS message direct to their phone.
Gordano Messaging Suite provides end users the ability to determine how they send and receive email. An employee can specify whether they want to receive alerts of all email via SMS or emails that meet certain criteria, for instance, from their boss or a critical client. Alternatively, a user who knows the recipient is out of the office can send an SMS message via their email by simply hitting an ICON on their email toolbar, typing the message, and sending.
