SW Umwelttechnik is acquiring a 100% stake in Alpha Umwelttechnik
GmbH, thereby extending its leadership in the Austrian market for
separation and wastewater treatment technology.

Klagenfurt based Alpha Umwelttechnik is a major supplier of
separation systems, small-scale wastewater treatment plants, and
sewerage and shaft systems in Austria. Last year the company, which
has a headcount of 23, posted revenue of EUR5.5 million.

SW Umwelttechnik is acquiring Alpha Umwelttechnik GmbH from
Semmelrock Baustoffindustrie GmbH, a Wienerberger Group company, with
retroactive effect from 1 January 2005. The parties have agreed to
keep the purchase price confidential.

The takeover will extend the leadership of SW Umwelttechnik’s Water
Conservation sector on its home market — particularly in the
separation technology (petrol and grease separators), small
wastewater treatment plant and rainwater recycling segments.

SW Umwelttechnik’s market and technological leadership in Austria
gives it a strong platform for continued expansion in Central
European growth markets. The company is currently building new
production facilities for its Water Conservation sector in Budapest
and Temesoara, Romania.
