SW Umwelttechnik concentrates production sites in Austria

SW Umwelttechnik consolidates its presently five down to three production sites in Austria. Due to the resulting increase of the utilisation degree the cost structure will be further improved.
Induced by the downturn of the sewage construction in Austria the installed production capacity of SW Umwelttechnik is not fully utilised. As from autumn 2006 the two production sites in Klagenfurt and also the two sites in Upper Austria will be combined, whereas the offered principal product range will remain.
As a result, the management expects improved earnings because of the linked personal cut of about 15 employees, abolition of fixed costs and tightening of the product range. The released manufacturing machinery will be transferred und set into operation in the Romanian production sites in Timisoara and Bucharest, which are currently under construction.
In spite of the retrogressive sales forecast of 10% in Austria, SW Umwelttechnik will continue to be the market leader in the water conservation sector e.g.: oil separators, and decentralized waste water treatment plants in Austria. By increased research efforts and close cooperation with different universities SW Umwelttechnik constantly develops new ecologically and economically viable solutions for the protection of our water. With these innovations SW Umwelttechnik builds its base for further technical improvement of its activities in the Central and Eastern European Countries.
