broadnet mediascape presents preliminary figures Turnover increases by 66 %, EBIT improves by 17 % (E)

Hamburg, March 10, 2003 - According to preliminary results, broadnet mediascape communications AG was able to increase turnover by 65.6 % from TEUR 9,424 in the previous year to TEUR 15,609. The increase was mainly achieved with the take over of broadnet mediascape dsl services AG in August 2002. Due to integration of the subsidiaries Broadnet Deutschland and broadnet mediascape dsl services, EBITDA decreased by 15.2 % to minus TEUR 10,122 (previous year: minus TEUR 8,783). Positive synergies will have their effect in 2003. The Group was never the less able to increase its EBIT from minus TEUR 22,185 in 2001 to minus TEUR 18,929 in 2002. As at December 31, 2002 broadnet mediascape had liquid funds of TEUR 39,770 (previous year: TEUR 33,155). The company had gained TEUR 23,281 in liquid funds when taking over Broadnet Deutschland and broadnet mediascape dsl services. broadnet mediascape will present its complete annual report on March 31, 2003.
