(Berlin, June 13, 2003) W.O.M. WORLD OF MEDICINE AG, listed on the Prime Standard, signed an exclusive Distributor Agreement with a California company.
The Agreement grants distribution rights regarding the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) approved and patented Gamma Finder® device. The Gamma Finder® is a unique, handheld and wireless probe for the detection of cancerous lymph nodes.
The device identifies cancerous lymph nodes inside the body and prevents the need for removal of cancer-free lymph nodes.
Our distribution partner agreed to guarantee a minimum purchase volume of US$ 7.6 million within the next five years. The distribution rights are limited to the USA and Canada and to breast and skin cancer applications.
Our American partner develops, manufactures and distributes minimal invasive devices for diagnosis of breast and skin cancer. The Gamma Finder® device with accessories from WORLD OF MEDICINE fits seamlessly into its existing range of products. The significant sales experience of the distributor in the particular fields of application allows even faster access for WORLD OF MEDICINE to the US-market. WORLD OF MEDICINE is investigating further applications for the Gamma Finder® device in the human body.
