Tales of Belligerence and Debauchery - Web Celebrity Publishes "The Tucker Max Stories" Through Lulu.com
Research Triangle Park, NC (ots)
Lulu.com, an online creator to consumer content marketplace, has made available the first print edition of Belligerence and Debauchery: The Tucker Max Stories, a collection of 47 stories taken, for the most part, from the author's famous Web site.
Tucker Max, by his own account, is something of an urban legend. His Web site (www.tuckermax.com) gets over 15,000 visitors a day. His exploits have been documented by MTV and in The New York Times. But nothing written about Tucker Max quite prepares the reader for the way he writes about himself. Like Hunter S. Thompson and Johnny Knoxville before him, he has engendered an entire sub-culture of admirers.
In his Foreword to the book, Nils Parker notes the strange fascination exhibited by visitors to tuckermax.com: "You've seen people with those bracelets that say 'WWJD?' haven't you? Well, there is an ever-growing segment of the population that asks . . . on a regular basis, "What Would Tucker Do?" Disgusting, I know, but true nevertheless."
In addition to 45 stories selected by the author from the best and most outrageous material on his Web site, the collection includes an introduction by the author and two pieces of never-before-published fiction every bit as irreverent and hilarious as his other work.
The Author:
Tucker Max received his BA from the University of Chicago, where he graduated in 1998 with lots of the various honors that they give to the smart people. He received an academic scholarship to Duke Law School, where he graduated amid much controversy with a JD in May of 2001. This despite the fact that he neglected to buy any of his textbooks for the final two years, spent one semester living in Cancun, and was single-handedly responsible for dropping Duke in the US News and World Report law school rankings. He is also the author of The Definitive Book of Pick-Up Lines. Contact: tuckermax@tuckermax.com
