Distribution AG ("S&T"; Vienna Stock Exchange: SNT, OTC: STSQY),
quoted on the Vienna Stock Exchange since 11 April 2003, herewith
announces that it has submitted an official delisting request to
Nasdaq Europe. The reason for the desired delisting is the low
trading volume on Nasdaq Europe, which has declined still further
since the quotation of the S&T share on the Vienna Stock Exchange.
The expectations placed in the listing in Vienna have certainly been
fulfilled, with an average trading volume of 5,621 shares a day
compared to 288 shares on Nasdaq Europe in the period from 11 April
to 13 June 2003. It is expected that the exclusive listing in Vienna
will concentrate the liquidity of S&T shares on one market, thus
creating an additional incentive for private and institutional
investors.Based on the delisting procedures of other companies, S&T expects that Nasdaq Europe will give its consent for the delisting within the next two months.
The ADR Level I Programm in the U.S.A. will be continued without change in order to ease the trade in S&T shares for U.S. investors.
