- Takeover of Croatian Microsoft specialist Epsilon - Acquisition of Atlantis in Slovenia completed
Vienna, 6 October, 2003 - S&T System Integration & Technology Distribution AG (Vienna Stock Exchange: SNT; OTC: STSQY) is strengthening its position and competence in Microsoft software solutions in the Adriatic region. The takeover of Croatian IT service provider Epsilon and its 16 highly qualified Microsoft-specialists, will enable S&T to expand its market position in its core business area of solutions. The acquisition of Slovenian company, Atlantis, that was announced in July has now been completed following a successful due diligence. The product combination of the two Microsoft specialists will allow S&T to respond to the wishes of its customers even more effectively.
The acquisition of Epsilon makes S&T in the Adriatic region a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner. Only a very small number of companies in the region have this level of certification, which is proof of extraordinary skills in the implementation of Microsoft-based solutions. This status has clear competitive advantages for S&T in the form of special product training and preferential access to new software releases. For S&T's customers, the Gold Certified Partnership means even greater efficiency and more professional customer service. The takeover in Croatia will bring S&T additional customers in the Telecom and financial services industries as well as the public sector.

Know-how from Epsilon allows us to respond to the continuously rising demand for mobile office solutions in cooperation with mobile communications companies. In the S&T Group, we now employ over 120 certified Microsoft software specialists, making us one of the biggest Microsoft partners in the region" says S&T CEO Karl Tantscher. An undisclosed amount in cash was agreed for the 100 percent takeover.
