Im Zuge der gegenwärtigen Verhandlungen hat uns die Container Service Co., Inc., Oregon/USA, heute folgende Absichtserklärung zugeleitet, die nachstehend im Originallaut veröffentlicht wird:

Sirs:
CSC is a United States registered corporation located in Warrenton, Oregon, USA; it is the owner and operator of Cryo-Power cryogenically refrigerated ocean freight containers. The refrigeration system in the containers is non-mechanical (CO2 based) and patented. The unique aspect of the Cryo-Power containers is that they do not require an outside power source; thus once charged with CO2 they can be moved on any mode of transport without power or monitoring. This ease of operation allows the Cryo-Power containers to move at a lower freight rate than conventional mechanical containers. CSC employs its containers to internationally transport frozen cargo on ships and the various other modes of transport associated with the inland movement of cargo to and from the loading or discharge port. CSC has a joint venture, GoCryo International with GoReefers International, B.V. of Rotterdam, for the operation of the Cryo-Power containers in the Atlantic Basin.
At this time, CSC is in the process of negotiating funding for the manufacture and operation of the Cryo-Power containers with Bremer Investitions-Gesellschaft GmbH (BIG) and with various other funding sources in the USA. Coinciding with this financing activity, CSC is interested in acquiring a clean "shell" of Bremer Vulkan Verbund AG subject to certain terms and conditions yet to determined. It is the intention of CSC to transfer the funds raised through BIG into the treasury of Bremer Vulkan Verbund AG and to match a minimum of three times this amount via the USA financiers. Of course, this financing activity is subject to market conditions, the performance of others and myriad factors beyond the control of CSC. Never the less, it is CSC intention to utilize this funding (if acquired) for:
1. Properly capitalizing Bremer Vulkan Verbund AG 2. Purchasing a majority of the outstanding shares of Bremer Vulkan Verbund 3. Negotiating a final settlement with all of the creditors of Bremer Vulkan Verbund AG. 4. Operating a frozen goods transportation and logistics company utilizing the Cryo-Power cryogenic container.

Diese Mitteilung manifestiert damit die Verhandlungsergebnisse der letzten Wochen. .Die Region Bremen würde spürbar von der Revitalisierung des Unternehmens profitieren. Für diese Einschätzung wird nun nochmals verstärkt auf Seiten der Gläubiger der Gesellschaft zu werben sein.
Für den Fall des Zustandekommens des angestrebten Zwangsvergleiches hat sich zudem Herr Klaus Ahlers ( Bremen) für eine Übergangszeit bereiterklärt, im Vorstandsgremium der Gesellschaft mitzuarbeiten. Herr Ahlers hat sehr tiefgreifende einschlägige Erfahrungen. So war er u.a. etwa Geschäftsführer der Hapag-Lloyd Werft in Bremerhaven, später Geschäftsführer der Hapag Lloyd-Flug( Hannover) und Vorsitzender des Vorstandes der HDW AG ( Kiel). Sein Mitwirken wäre ein großer Gewinn für die Gesellschaft und deren Aktionäre.
