SoftM Software und Beratung AG (ISIN: DE0007249104), Munich In the first six months of 2006 achieved revenues of 35.3 million Euro thereby reaching previous year?s level (previous year 35.6) The operative result before taxes, interest, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) amounted to 1.5 million Euro (previous year 1.9). The consolidated Group expanded in relation to last year with the inclusion of Solitas Informatik AG and, for the first time, the Polish SoftM Company.
The standard software business unit showed marked growth of 15% compared to the previous year realizing 8.4 million Euro million Euro (previous year 7.3). Solitas Informatik AG, which was taken over in Summer 2005 also contributed to the higher revenues in this business unit. Incoming orders for software licenses increased by 33%. Consulting revenues, which reached 9.8 million Euro million Euro (previous year 10.8), remained under the previous year?s level. The fact, that a significant number of consultants were being trained for the new ERP software Greenax and were therefore not able to be utilized as revenue sources during this period, played a significant role. In the business field system integration revenues remained fairly constant with the previous year at 17.1 million (previous year 17.5).
The result of normal business activity (EBT) for the first six months came to -1.1 million Euro (previous year ?0.2). Net income came to ?0.6 million Euro (previous year ?0.3). Result per share as of June 6, 2006 was -0.13 (previous year -0.06). The extensive marketing expenditures, as well as the considerable training measures associated with the new ERP software Greenax, had a major impact on this result.
The Board believes that this year?s target figures will be reached and that the ambitious plan to realize a result comparable to last year?s will be met in spite of the considerable costs associated with the market introduction of the new ERP software Greenax. The unchanged positive developments in the incoming orders sector for software licenses will contribute greatly to this end.
