Neue Sentimental Film AG right on target after
Q1 (E)
Disclosure announcement transmitted by euro adhoc. The issuer is responsible for the content of this announcement.
Frankfurt am Main, May 26, 2004 - Neue Sentimental Film AG will publish its figures for the first quarter of 2004 today. The Frankfurt-based company has hit its forecast squarely with sales of EUR 6.0 million.
Neue Sentimental Film AG was able to continue the positive trend from the previous year into the first quarter of 2004 - in the face of stagnating industry and economic data. In total, the group recorded sales totaling EUR 6.0 million (previous year after adjustment: EUR 6.3 million). The sales from the US sub-group were not fully included in these sales any longer, as the business activities of the US units either were or will be discontinued. This means that the international company, which produces advertising films, TV formats and realizes individual services for company and brand communication, is right on schedule.
EBIT and EBITDA totaled EUR -209 thousand and EUR -99 thousand respectively (previous year: EUR -478 thousand and EUR -301 thousand). As the first half of the fiscal year is significantly weaker than the second half due to the seasonal nature of advertising film production, these figures already show that in 2004 the group will once again be able to realize a balanced result - in particular, as already announced, on an EBITDA basis.
In addition to producing advertising spots for brands e.g. Campina, Nissan, Danone, NBC, Deutsche Sporthilfe, Mercedes-Benz, BAT, R&V, ZDF, Burger King, Unilever Best Food, Wella, Dr. Oetker, Postbank, Volksbank, ORF and ONE, for example the Vienna office was again able to produce further episodes of the TV formats "Sendung ohne Namen" and "Sunshine Airlines" for ORF, and to create the content management mandate for the direction of the opening ceremony of the live broadcast of the Wiener Festwochen, which took place with more than 45,000 spectators for the second time. The Frankfurt branch also produced the fourth series of the "Gottschalk America" show, which was broadcast in April.
