Paris (ots/PRNewswire)
Valeo has received the top prize for innovation in the category "Methods and Processes" at the 2007 Best Innovator awards ceremony, organized by the consultancy A.T. Kearney in partnership with the economic daily "Les Echos".
The Best Innovator awards recognize the best practices in innovation management from among 700 companies with sales of over 300 million euros.
"We are honoured to receive this award, which recognizes our Constant Innovation method, illustrated in particular by the development of our StARS micro-hybrid, one of the most innovative systems of the decade," declared Valeo Chairman Thierry Morin. "Innovation, a key factor of differentiation, is at the heart of our development strategy. We invest significantly in R&D, giving our 7,000 R&D engineers the means to conceive vehicles that are safer, more comfortable and ever more environmentally friendly."
Constant Innovation, a key pillar in Valeo's 5 Axes methodology, is structured around three fundamentals: customer orientation, product innovation management and simultaneous engineering. These principles apply not only to breakthrough innovations but also to constant improvement of all Valeo products.
