SIX Multipay now offers the acceptance and processing of Diners Club and Discover

SIX Multipay Ltd, the leading acquiring company in Switzerland, will in the future offer Swiss merchants the acceptance and processing of Diners Club and Discover credit cards. SIX Multipay is thereby adding two leading credit card brands to its range of products, which until now has consisted of Visa, MasterCard and JCB credit cards, V Pay, Visa Electron and Maestro debit cards and the CASH value card.
Among the two new card brands, the Diners Club Card is especially well known as the world's first credit card. The Diners Club Card is used by around 40,000 cardholders in Switzerland and approximately 8 million worldwide. It is welcome today at over 9 million merchants in over 185 countries. Over 50 million cardholders have confidence in the Discover Card, one of the leading credit cards in the United States. It is accepted by around 4 million merchants, primarily in the USA and Mexico.
SIX Multipay will meet the needs of its merchants with this expansion of its product range at the beginning of 2010. Merchants today expect not only just first-class service, but also a comprehensive choice of credit and debit cards from a single source.
Merchants who choose to activate Diners Club will automatically also accept the Discover Card at the same conditions. "With the simultaneous acceptance of Diners Club and Discover, the merchant taps into an interesting new group of customers and thereby great sales potential," states Dôn Nguyen-Quang, Head Marketing & Corporate Services at SIX Multipay.
The processing of Diners Club and Discover through SIX Multipay will be possible starting January 2010. Interested merchants can already obtain an offer and sign a contract with SIX Multipay today.
