This agreement with WISeKey provides the security to interconnect the Incheon Intelligent City/WTC http://www.fez.go.kr/english/index.php?m=city and Busan WTC http://www.wtcb.org/ with the Geneva Switzerland Secure Hub http://www.wtcecommerce.com and HRD U.S. regional office located at World Trade Center Washington Hub www.itcdc.com/
The first ever Global Backbone integrating National Identity Systems (NIS) for Intelligent Cities in Asia, Europe, US will be secured using WISeKey technologies.
WISeKey was selected by the HRD International Group to provide the technology allowing them to interconnect several facilities at the Intelligent Cities/Korean World Trade Centers such as Incheon, Busan, Daegu, Masan and Jeju via the WISeKey CertifyID Secure backbone® and Trusted Network. This CertifyID Secure Backbone will be the first ever global network providing both virtual and physical Secure Electronic Transactions, strong authentication for eIDS (electronic identities) and National Identity Systems (NIS). For instance, the Incheon Intelligent City/WTC, a 15-minute drive from IIA after the completion of the Second Airport Bridge, will be developed as a center for Asia-Pacific multinational headquarters, global business, and a high value-added knowledge-based and information industrial complex.
The cooperation with the HRD International Group includes minority investment in WISeKey SA and the establishment of a joint venture company with the name WISeKey S. Korea to expand WISeKey technology in S. Korea and the Asia Pacific Region, in cooperation with leading public and private Funds represented by HRD. The Joint Venture will include the possibility to establish WISeKey Joint Ventures for countries in the Asia Pacific region.

Lee, Chairman of HRD International.

One of the features of this project is that the entire backbone and buildings will use smart materials with eID tags provided by WISeKey to ensure the security and traceability of the elements constituting the infrastructure. This infrastructure is part of the WISeKey expansion from the existing state-of-the-art secure facilities in the Swiss Alps with a new set of ultra secure data centres operated by WISeKey and located within the heart Intelligent Buildings in Geneva, Washington and Seoul. The Swiss Alps facility hosts since 1999 the WISeKey root certificate owned by the Organisation Internationale pour la Sécurité des Transactions Electroniques (OISTE.org) and other ultra secured data services.
