Euphony French Billiards World Cup in Antwerp: Daniel Sanchez Wins Thrilling Final and World Cup 2004

The organisers of the Euphony French Billiards World Cup could not have dreamed for a more spectacular final. Daniel Sanchez (Spain) and Semih Sayginer (Turkey) were both contenders for the World Cup 2004. Therefore, the winner of the Euphony tournament would also become the winner of the World Cup. Daniel Sanchez was the strongest in a match of five thrilling frames. The Spanish player now qualifies to play in the Supercup (important financially) and is in the running for the title of 'Player of the year', which will be announced in February 2005. In Antwerp he received a cheque of 5000 euros as winner of the tournament and a cheque of 2500 euros as winner of the World Cup.
