Schaffner Group to adopt functional organization - Board of Directors names new Executive Board as of March 1, 2007

The Schaffner Group (SWX Swiss Exchange: SAHN) is adapting its organizational structure in line with its strategic focus on the global market for components and modules to ensure EMC and efficient power quality in electronic networks.
As part of the implementation of the functional structure, the Board of Directors has decided the composition of the new Executive Board of the Schaffner Group from March 1, 2007:
- Alexander Hagemann, 44, Chief Executive Officer (new)
- Dr Martin Zwyssig, 42, Chief Financial Officer (current)
- Peter Schär, 50, Vice President Human Resources (current)
- Fabian Beck, 36, Vice President Global Research & Development (current)
- Martin Köppel, 46, Vice President Global Supply Chain Management (current)
- Eduard Hadorn, 50, Vice President Asia Business Development (current)
- Currently vacant, Vice President Global Production (new)
- Currently vacant, Vice President Global Sales & Marketing (new)
The search for external candidates to fill the two vacant positions is in full swing.
The current head of the Components and Modules Business, Roland Küpfer, will hand over his duties as of the same date and leave the company. The Board of Directors of Schaffner Holding AG wishes to thank Roland Küpfer for his dedication and commitment over the past five years, during which EMC Components and Modules Business has extended its leading position in the global market and, particularly in the last few years, has realized a sustained increase in sales and operating result.
