Schaffner Holding AG: Markus Zenhaeusern nominated for election to the Board of Directors

The Board of Directors of Schaffner Holding AG proposes to the Annual General Meeting, which is being held on January 16, 2008, that Markus Zenhaeusern (45) be elected as a new member of the Board. He will succeed Robert Scherer, a longstanding Board member and current Chairman of the Audit Committee, who will be stepping down from the Board at the coming Annual General Meeting due to retirement.
Markus Zenhaeusern has been Chief Financial Officer and a member of the Group Management of the Sika Group in Baar since 2005, and is designated Chief Financial Officer and member of the Group Management of the Swiss Post. He has over twenty years of experience in management positions in the finance departments of companies with international operations. After graduating with an MBA from the University of St. Gallen (HSG) in economics (lic. oec.), Markus Zenhaeusern obtained a Ph. D. (Dr. rer. pol) from the University of Fribourg.
