Changes on the Supervisory Board
Möglingen, 21 September 2004. The Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Markus Kress, and the member of the Supervisory Board, Werner Preuschhof, today resigned from their Supervisory Board seats at USU Software AG with effect of 31 October 2004. The resignation from the seats was effected as scheduled in line with the changes in shareholder structure as a result of the takeover of the majority of shares by Udo Strehl Private Equity GmbH. The Management Board and Supervisory Board wish to thank Markus Kress and Werner Preuschhof for their work and commitment.
The Management Board will recommend the appointment of the businessmen Günter Daiss and Erwin Staudt as new members of the Supervisory Board to the District Court.

During his 40 years in business, Günter Daiss developed an international group of companies. In 1978, he founded the financial services company DAISS Versicherungsmakler GmbH, headquartered in Freiberg am Neckar. Even the economic success of companies in other industries, e.g. Uhlsport, Gin Tonic or G.W. Barth are closely linked to Günter Daiss’ commitment. Günter Daiss is the Chairman of the Management Board of G. W. Barth AG, Freiberg a. N., member of the Council of Union Beton and a member of the Administrative Board of Kreissparkasse Ludwigsburg.
Erwin Staudt has been the first full-time president of VfB Stuttgart since September 2003. Previously, he was employed in different executive function by IBM Germany for three decades, most recently as Chairman of Management. Apart from his business expertise, Erwin Staudt has excellent knowledge of the IT industry. He is a member of the Council of Deutsche Bank AG in Berlin, of Allianz Versicherung AG in Stuttgart and of Hamburg-Mannheimer Versicherungsgesellschaften, Hamburg.
