Nissan Europe Reports July Sales

Nissan Europe reported total sales of 44,817 vehicles (1) in July 2004, a decrease of 1.8% over the same month last year.
In the seven month period from January to July 2004, Nissan Europe sold 330,073 units, 5.4% up from last year.
HIGHLIGHTS BY COUNTRY
- Nissan in France sold 3,679 units in July, registering a 18% decrease compared to last year. In the seven month period from January to July 2004, Nissan sold 28,904 units in France, up by 7.3% compared to last year.
- In Germany, Nissan sold 5,182 units in July, representing an increase of 8% compared to last year. In the seven month period from January to July 2004, Nissan sold 34,044 units in Germany, 11.4% down from last year.
- In Italy, Nissan sold 6,100 units in July, representing a decrease of 22.7% compared to last year. In the seven month period from January to July 2004, Nissan sales in Italy rose to 50,086 units, up by 11% compared to last year.
- Nissan in Spain sold 6,920 units in July, up by 21% compared to last year. In the seven month period from January to July 2004, Nissan sales in Spain rose to 40,160 units up by 15% compared to last year.
- In the UK, Nissan sold 7,016 units, a decrease of 8.8% compared to last year. In the seven month period from January to July 2004, Nissan's sales in the UK fell to 61,131 units, down 5.6% compared to last year.
- In Russia, Nissan sold 3,358 units, an increase of 290% compared to last year. In the seven month period from January to July 2004, Nissan's sales in Russia rose to 13,679 units, up 180% compared to last year
MODEL HIGHLIGHTS
- The Micra was Nissan's best-selling European model with a total of 13,692 unit sales in July representing a decrease of 12% against the same month last year. In the seven month period from January to July 2004, total Micra sales reached 105,182 units, up by 10% compared to last year.
- X-TRAIL sales decreased by 1.3% in July against the same month last year to 4,739 units. In the seven month period from January to July 2004, total X-TRAIL sales reached 37,697 units, up by 33% compared to last year.
- Pickup sales increased by 1% in July against the same month last year to 3,281 units. In the seven month period from January to July 2004, total Pickup sales reached 25,306 units, up by 19.5% compared to last year
