Nissan 's December Sales Up 50.7% in Europe

Nissan Europe reported total
sales of 49,054 vehicles (1) in December  2006, an increase of 50.7%
over the same month last year. Year to date  Nissan sold 539,773
vehicles in Europe, a decrease of 0.2% compared to the  same period
last year.

HIGHLIGHTS BY COUNTRY

• Nissan in France sold 3,559 units in December, registering a 2.8% decrease compared to last year. Year to date Nissan sold 44,809 units in France, down 7.4% compared to the same period last year.
• In Germany, Nissan sold 6,437 units in December, representing an increase of 118.6% compared to last year. Year to date Nissan sold 59,335 units in Germany, up 11.8% compared to the same period last year.
• In Italy, Nissan sold 3,537 units in December, up 37.2% compared to last year. Year to date Nissan sold 50,015 units in Italy, down 7.4% compared to the same period last year.
• Nissan in Spain sold 6,011 units in December, up 11.1% compared to last year. Year to date Nissan sold 62,741 units in Spain, down 11.4% compared to the same period last year.
• In the UK, Nissan sold 4,362 units in December, an increase of 30.8% compared to last year. Year to date Nissan sold 87,013 units in the UK, down 14.7% compared to the same period last year.
• In Russia, Nissan sold 9,671 units, an increase of 95.4% compared to last year. Year to date Nissan sold 76,452 units in Russia, up 64.5% compared to the same period last year.
• In Central and Eastern Europe (2), Nissan sold 1,954 units, an increase of 104.2% compared to last year. Year to date, Nissan sold 16,987 units in Central and Eastern Europe, up 5.7% compared to last year.
• In the Nordics (3), Nissan sold 2,959 units, an increase of 14.1% compared to last year. Year to date, Nissan sold 30,160 units in the Nordics, down 12.4% compared to last year.

MODEL HIGHLIGHTS

• The Micra sold a total of 8,133 units in December representing an increase of 30.4% against the same month last year. Year to date total Micra sales reached 118,118 units, down 24% compared to the same period last year.
• The Micra C+C sold a total of 573 units in December. Year to date, Micra C+C sales reached 15,421 units.
• NOTE sold a total of 9,904 units in December. Year to date, NOTE sales reached 85,250 units.
• X-TRAIL sold 4,601 units in December, up 26.6% against the same month last year. Year to date total X-TRAIL sales reached 53,200 units, down 15.3% compared to the same period last year.
• Murano sold 647 units in December, down 5.8% compared to last year. Year to date total Murano sales reached 8,345 units, down 6.9% compared to the same period last year.
• Pathfinder sold 2,442 units in December, up 9.2% compared to last year. Year to date total Pathfinder sales reached 25,533 units, up 24.4% compared to the same period last year.
• Navara sold 5,497 units in December. Year to date total Navara sales reached 50,291 units.
