Meinl European Land, the property group focused on retail real estate
in Central and Eastern Europe, will be admitted into the MSCI Austria
Index on 31st May 2005. At the beginning of the year the company was
included in the GPR 250 Index. Morgan Stanley Capital International
officially announced the admission last Tuesday in its yearly Index
Review.

The worldwide MSCI index is a weighted market capitalisation index
that includes companies representative of equity market structures in
the world’s major financial centres. For several portfolio managers
the MSCI index is a benchmark for their own performance. Beside the
global MSCI world index, the index family comprises local indices
around the world. On the 31st May 2005 a total of 278 securities will
be added to the MSCI Standard Index Series. Together with Meinl
European Land one other company in Austria will be admitted.

The admission into one of the most important index families in the
world is the next cornerstone in Meinl European Land’s two-year
record of unrivalled organic growth. During this period the company
has doubled its portfolio value several times. Today the portfolio
comprises 170 retail properties with an estimated value of more than
EUR 670 million and a total letable area of significantly more than
700,000sqm and the dynamic expansion will continue in the future.

One week ago the company added the latest new property to its
portfolio, acquiring a hypermarket with a letable area of 8,000sqm in
the Polish city of Plock (130,000 inhabitants). The property is
leased by the German based Kaufland group on a long-term rental
contract and generates a yield of more than 10%.
