Final figures 2003 / personal affairs
Neckarsulm, 24.03.2004. Bechtle closes the 2003 business year with record figures. With Group revenues amounting to 791.9 million Euro (previous year: 751.7 mill. Euro, +5.3%), it has achieved an EBT of 27.2 million Euro (previous year: 19.0 mill. Euro, +43,5%) and a net income for the Group of 18.4 million Euro (previous year: 12.0 mill. Euro, +53,0%).
The Supervisory Board of Bechtle AG approved the annual accounts and the Bechtle's consolidated financial statements for 2003. The Supervisory Board also approved the Management Board's proposal on the appropriation of profits for the next Shareholders' General Meeting to issue a dividend of 0.30 Euro (previous year: 0.25 Euro).
Gerhard Schick has officially resigned from his position as Chairman and CEO of Bechtle AG, replaced the position of Karin Krief in the Supervisory Board and has been elected Chairman.
The long-standing Bechtle senior executives, Marz and Schäfer, were appointed to the Management Board. Marz will be responsible for the system house business, Schäfer taking care of Bechtle direct and logistics. The two men have worked successfully for Bechtle in their specific areas of responsibility for many years. Karl-Heinz Gosmann was relieved as a member of the Management Board. Founder member Ralf Klenk has been appointed to the position of Chairman and CEO.
Bechtle has decided to appoint employees from within the company who have a proven and successful record of many years to succeed Gerhard Schick. Both the Management Board and the Supervisory Board are convinced there is no better basis for ensuring the continuation of the Group's greater than average development.
