Zug/Switzerland, 25 March 2014  -  iQ Power AG (ISIN: CH0020609688, WKN:
A0DQVL, Symbol: IQPB), a developer and marketer of technologies for
environmentally friendly and technologically leading starter batteries for
motor vehicles and licences in these technologies, announces the successful
start of series production (SOP) of batteries equipped with the new
generation of iQP-2 passive electrolyte mixing elements. The production is
taking place in one of the important Asian supply factories of Discover
Energy International, Hong Kong, which is the most important worldwide
active Sales and License partner of iQ Power.

The current series production resulted from many optimization stages,
including pilot production. Engineers from iQ Power accompanied the start
of production and were impressed with the quality and performance of the
batteries produced. Discover Energy has stationed a permanent production
expert in the factory to oversee quality and logistics.

The batteries produced contain the internationally patented passive
electrolyte mixing elements, which provide an effective and inexpensive way
to greatly increase the lifetime, reliability, and cycle-time of flooded
lead-acid starter batteries. The passive electrolyte mixing elements are
located internally in the batteries and require no adjustments to the
internal design of the batteries or the external dimensions, nor do they
affect the electrical function of the battery. The new generation of parts
is universally applicable to all flooded lead-acid starter batteries. The
plastic parts are produced under contract for iQ Power, who can sell the
parts on an as needed basis, thereby avoiding the necessity of investment
by the producing battery factory.

USA grants to iQ Power another patent for the important US market

Another milestone of the "patent pipeline strategy" was reached as the US
patent office approved another patent for the passive electrolyte mixing
element technology of iQ Power. The new patent results from the continual
design improvement process, in which each new patent builds on the previous
achievements and extends the period of time for patent protection for 20
years with each new patent. iQ Power has patents and patent applications in
all important markets and many developing countries.
