Proximus and End2End Further Expand Partnership to Grow Mobile Games Market in Belgium
Aalborg, Denmark (ots/PRNewswire)
Proximus, Belgium's largest mobile operator, and End2End, Europe's leading managed service solution provider for mobile data services and content, today announced that they have further expanded their partnership to grow the mobile games market in Belgium.
The two companies first partnered in early 2003 to deliver Java games to Belgian mobile subscribers via Proximus' Game Zone. The relationship was expanded in June 2004 when End2End began delivering the Vodafone live! Games Arcade for Proximus as a managed service solution.
Proximus has now upgraded to the latest version of End2End's Content Delivery Solution (CDS) to power its Vodafone live! Games portfolio, as well as outsourced related content processes to leverage End2End's expertise in mobile content.
End2End's CDS provides a future-proof platform that enables the delivery of any content to any device and is currently used to power the delivery of content across 20 countries. The new version of End2End's CDS provides a feature-rich platform that accommodates all of the latest Vodafone live! requirements, enabling Proximus to continue growing the market for mobile games.
In addition to the CDS upgrade, Proximus has outsourced the commercial and operational management of the majority of its games providers to End2End. As part of the agreement, End2End is responsible for handling commercial contracts, testing, reporting and settlements with respect to Proximus' games providers.
"End2End continues to demonstrate its market leadership in providing managed service content delivery propositions," said Xavier Huberland, Director Consumer Mobile Division, Proximus. "With End2End, we are continuously able to leverage not only a great technical solution, but also complementary services, such as the outsourcing of processes around mobile games."
"Outsourcing of processes is one of the major upcoming trends in mobile content delivery," said Soren Ravn, CEO, End2End. "Mobile games continue to be a major growth area in mobile data and we are pleased to be working in a more strategic relationship with Proximus to grow the market and Proximus' revenues from mobile games."
