ElringKlinger AG notifies the following changes to the company Board:
Sebastian Merz, previously Chairman of the Board, has surrendered his Board mandate with immediate effect and is leaving the company by mutual consent in order to pursue his career elsewhere.
Dr Stefan Wolf (43) and Karl Schmauder (45) are the new members appointed to the Board.
Dr Wolf is responsible for the administration, the subsidiaries, the distribution of spare parts and public relations, including Investor Relations. He has been appointed spokesman of the Board.
Mr Schmauder is in the now third Board department responsible for sales in the motor vehicles industry, with which the company earns two thirds of its turnover and the newly created field "new business". This is designed to advance the further growth of the ElringKlinger Group.
Dr Wolf and Schmauder have been successfully employed in managerial positions in the company for many years.
Horst Klusmann (62) remains responsible for the manufacturing business areas and technical central areas on the Board.
The ElringKlinger corporation, a worldwide supplier to the motor vehicle industry of seals, screening parts, engine housing modules and seal ranges in the independent spare parts business is expecting continued growth in turnover and revenue for the 2004 business year. The figures for the 2004 business year and a preview of 2005 will be presented at the Balance Sheet Press Conference in Stuttgart on 29 March 2005.
