increase to 1.75 Euro - ElringKlinger Group surpasses fiscal 2004

At its meeting on March 23, the Supervisory Board of ElringKlinger AG approved the distribution of the fiscal year 2004 balance sheet profit as proposed by the Management Board. Consequently, the payment of a dividend of 1.75 Euro per share will be proposed to the annual meeting of stockholders. This dividend payment is 25 Cents higher than in the previous year (adjusted to take account of the effect of the capital increase from corporate funds on July 26, 2004), representing an increase of 16.7 percent. The sales revenue of the ElringKlinger Group totaling around 453 million Euro in fiscal 2004 will be some 9 percent up on the previous year (416.8 million Euro). The operating profit will be around 70 million Euro, up on the forecast 62.5 million Euro. In the previous year the gasket, shielding component and housing module specialist had returned an operating profit of 53.8 million Euro. The pretax profit will be around 67 million Euro, 33 percent up on the previous year, and the net income 42 million Euro, up 57 percent on the previous year (27.2 million Euro). ElringKlinger AG will be making a detailed presentation of its final figures for fiscal 2004 along with the outlook for 2005 at its end-of-year press conference on March 29, 2005 in Stuttgart.
