BKW acknowledging Enermet's Leadership in Metering and Load Management

BKW, one of the leading electric utilities in Switzerland, and Enermet, have signed contracts for the supply of household as well as commercial/industrial meters plus Ripple Control Receivers supporting BKW's load management efforts.
"The contract award in this international tender in favor of Enermet is the result of continuous portfolio development and decades of experience in Load Management as well as Metering", comments Patrick Bernold, Enermet Sales Director. "The competition was tough but in the final end I believe that our closeness to BKW as well as our local competence in Switzerland provided the edge needed to win."
BKW will buy E420 meters to complement their household meter infrastructure. In addition the E600 commercial/industrial meter will support BKW in continuously collecting metering values from their larger customers. In this case of Automated Meter Reading (AMR) the metering values will be directly transmitted to BKW's central accounting server.
