As per our announcement of 5 September 2008, today the Valartis Group AG has successfully completed the acquisition of the Anglo Irish Bank (Austria) AG including its subsidiary, AIBC Anglo Irish Bank (Austria) Kapitalanlagegesellschaft mbH.
With this acquisition, the Valartis Group will substantially expand its international wealth management activities and strengthen its position in the eastern European region.
The Anglo Irish Bank (Austria) AG will be renamed Valartis Bank (Austria) AG and its asset management subsidiary Valartis Asset Management (Austria) Kapitalanlagesellschaft mbH.
Further information to the acquisition of the Austrian Bank will be given during the annual media conference together with the annual results of the Valartis Group on 8 April 2009.
