SkyEurope Holding AG announces the publication of its audited Annual Financial Statements for the year ended 30 September 2008. The audit report issued by KPMG Austria GmbH Wirtschaftsprüfungs- und Steuerberatungsgesellschaft, the company´s auditors, contains an adverse opinion due to the auditors' disagreement with the management´s going concern assumption in preparing the annual financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). According to the audit opinion, the annual financial statements should not have been prepared under the going concern assumption and, thus, fail to give an accurate picture of the group´s assets and its financial position. Management believes that the going concern assumption is appropriate given the continuing business operations since the 30 September 2008 financial year end and investor interest in the company.
SkyEurope Holding AG also announces that it has received an expression of interest from a potential investor and is in negotiations regarding a potential equity investment in the company. Such an investment would provide additional liquidity.
