Christ Water Technology plans to expand its Pharma & Life Sciences and Biotechnology business having entered into exclusive negotiations about taking a controlling stake in zeta Group, headquartered in Tobelbad/Graz, Austria. With 240 staff and annual turnover of EUR 40mn, the group of companies is a leading supplier of process equipment for the bio-pharmaceutical industry. Apart seizing combined synergies in the pharmaceutical market, CHRIST is also interested in the areas process equipment and high-tech equipment for biotechnological applications. Especially in the area of media and preparation systems both manufacturers offer sophisticated solutions which could be marketed together.
"The talks have reached an advanced stage and are materially supported by Deloitte. Assuming commitment of all relevant parties we expect to close a deal in the next few weeks", says CHRIST CEO DDr. Karl Michael Millauer.
