Hamburg. The Jungheinrich AG (ISIN DE0006219934) was able to maintain its course for profitable growth throughout 2005 and has had a good start into 2006. In 2005, consolidated sales increased by 7 percent compared to the previous year (1,531 million euros), amounting to 1,645 million euros. This development was boosted by a strong fourth quarter 2005 with a sales increase of approx. 8 percent compared to the year-earlier period. Last years operating result (EBIT) increased by 22 percent, amounting to 106.9 million euros (2004: 87.4 million euros according to IFRS). EBIT return on sales totalled 6.5 percent (2004: 5.7 percent according to IFRS). Net earnings increased to 62.1 million euros (2004: 49.3 million euros). Earnings per share increased to 1.84 euros (2004: 1.47 euros).
Given this positive business development, the Jungheinrich AG Board of Management will recommend to the supervisory board that a proposal to increase the dividend be submitted at the Annual General Meeting on June 13th. It will be suggested to increase the dividend from 0.42 euros to 0.45 euros per common stock and from 0.48 euros to 0.51 euros per preferred stock, respectively.
Jungheinrich will provide more detailed information on the financial year 2005 at the Annual Press Conference on April 11th, 2006, in Hamburg.
