Cuxhaven, March 13, 2009 - The wind-farm developer Plambeck Neue Energien AG (ISIN: DE000A0JBPG2) has closed the fiscal year 2008 with a record showing. Accordingly, both the turnover and also the income figures distinctly rose. The earnings before interests and taxes (EBIT) - the decisive figure for the project business - improved by 50.6% to around 23.5 mill. Euro (previous year: 15.6 mill. Euro). The earnings before taxes (EBT) were increased to around 19.7 mill. Euro (previous year: 11.4 mill. Euro). In comparison with the previous year, the total operating performance in the group according to IFRS accountancy was increased by around 92.0% to 112.5 mill. Euro. At the same time, turnover increased to 74.6 mill. Euro (previous year: 50.1 mill. Euro).
Thus, Plambeck Neue Energien AG fulfilled its forecasts for the 2008 fiscal year and achieved the best EBIT showing in the company's history. The foundation of this successful development was formed by the sale of the shares in the Danish rotor blade developer SSP Technology A/S.
Martin Billhardt, Chairman of the Board of Plambeck Neue Energien AG, was highly pleased with the positive result: "In the fiscal year of 2008, we were able to achieve important progress. We have consistently aligned the company to projecting wind-farms - onshore and offshore, in Germany and abroad. At the same time, we have also achieved the best showing financially in the company's history." For the future, the Chairman of the Board is therefore confident: "We are moving on a growth market which is comparatively independent of the economy. Wind power will play a key role in energy supplies in the future, both nationally and also internationally."
Plambeck Neue Energien AG will be publishing the complete, audited annual financial statements and the 2008 business report on March 30, 2009.
