Prenzlau/Oldenburg (euro adhoc) - aleo solar AG [ISIN: DE000A0JM634] today
announced that, based on preliminary calculations, it expects to have achieved
revenue of EUR 279.9 million in the financial year 2012. Revenue was down 39
percent in 2012 compared to the previous year (EUR 461.8 million). Foreign
business accounted for around 58 percent of revenue in 2012.
aleo solar AG expects to have closed the financial year 2012 with a substantial
net loss. "The loss is due mainly to the continued erosion of module prices and
the one-off expenses triggered by the factory closings in Spain and China," said
York zu Putlitz, CEO and CFO of aleo solar AG. The company also recognised an
impairment loss on assets.
aleo solar's financing remains secured through a Group credit facility granted
by Robert Bosch GmbH.
The 2012 annual report containing the final figures is expected to be published
on 26 March 2013.
