(TSX:NWG) ("NewWest") today announced it will host its first annual
general meeting of shareholders on May 10, 2007 at 11 a.m. ET at The
Toronto Board of Trade, Downtown Centre in Toronto, Ontario.
Following the formal meeting, there will be a presentation by
management and a question and answer session. A simultaneous live
webcast will accompany the event and can be accessed at NewWest's
website at www.newwestgold.com. The webcast will also be archived on
the website.The Company also announced it will release its first quarter 2007 results on the same day before markets open.
