Bank Leu is combining Asset Management and Investment Products in a newly created management unit that will focus on portfolio management for private and institutional clients as well as management of investment products. The new unit will be headed by Raoul-Philip Bachmann (44), who will also become a Member of the Executive Board of Bank Leu.
By combining these various areas of activity, Bank Leu is consolidating its strengths in the areas of asset management and investment products. Portfolio management for private and institutional investors and management of investment products are to be integrated in a new management unit, in a move also designed to further strengthen the distribution of Bank Leu products.
Effective March 1, 2006, Raoul-Philip Bachmann will be the head of the new management unit and a new Member of the Executive Board of Bank Leu. Most recently he worked as a consultant in asset management and business development. He studied law at the University of Zurich, where he also gained his doctorate in 1992 before going on to complete an Executive MBA at the University of St. Gallen in 1994. He has a wide range of technical and management experience gained in a variety of roles. From 1997 to 2001 he was CEO of Pictet Funds SA with responsibility for developing and expanding the organization. He subsequently worked in London as a Managing Director of Morley Fund Management, where he was in charge of European business. From 2004 onwards he acted as a consultant for ODEY Asset Management in London and MAN / RMF in Pfäffikon / SZ.
As an "Independent Private Bank" Bank Leu is part of Credit Suisse Group. Its principal activity is private banking for a Swiss and international clientele. As a specialist for the Swiss financial market, the bank serves professional and institutional clients in Switzerland and abroad. Its core competences in the area of integrated financial planning and advice are extended by a range of specialist financial services, such as securities trading and administration as well as foreign exchange, money market and precious metals trading. In addition to its head office in Zurich, Bank Leu maintains a number of branches, representative offices and subsidiaries in- and outside Switzerland.
