Büdelsdorf, 04 June 2009 - Prof. Dr. Thoma, chairman of the freenet AG Supervisory Board, has notified the company that he will be stepping down as chairman following this year´s Annual General Meeting on 07 July 2009. He will, however, continue to sit on the freenet Supervisory Board as a regular member. His successor as chairman will be elected by the new Supervisory Board following the Annual General Meeting.
