Meinl International Power Ltd. (MIP) informs that the allegations made in a report which was sent to the Austrian Financial Markets Authority (FMA) by Alexander Proschofsky on behalf of the journal "Austria Börsebrief" and which was also disseminated by the media, are totally wrong and legally unfounded. In his report, Proschofsky accused MIP of having neglected to publish various documents on its website.
Neither the law nor the capital market prospectus, which was only valid for the time period of the public offering in July 2007, obliges the company to publish specific documents at its website at this point of time.
The company sees Mr. Proschofsky´s publication as an attempt to gain media attention for himself and for "Austria Börsebrief" at the expense of the investors by announcing alleged scandals.
