futureInnsbruck, February 7, 2008 - The successful growth story of phion AG, one of the leading European providers of solutions for the protection of corporate communication, was again in the centre of the company´s development in the third quarter: with the establishment of subsidiary companies in Great Britain and the Netherlands (January 2008), the international acquisition and service net could be further extended. The Tyrolean company, the shares of which have been listed on the Regulated Unofficial Market (mid market segment) on Vienna Stock Exchange (ISIN AT0000PHION3) since 2007, was able to increase its sales by 33% in the first three quarters of the current fiscal year, compared to last year´s period. EBITDA after the first three quarters 2007/08 shows a slight minus (-114,000 Euros). However, it includes investments in the future of more than 330,000 Euros carried out in the context of entering new markets. EBIT in the first nine months, due to depreciations of 596,000 Euros, amounted to -710,000 Euros. The management of phion expects the above-the-average growth rates to continue and the fourth quarter (ending March 31, 2008) with all probability to be the strongest, in terms of sales, of the financial year 2007/08. For the current quarter, the establishment of a further subsidiary company in the Middle East region is projected.
