Vienna - Semperit AG Holding announces that the management of the French
subsidiary Sempertrans France Belting Technology ("SFBT") has signed an
agreement on 13th October 2017 with the representative bodies of the affected
French employees regarding the social measures linked to the closing project of
the plant in Argenteuil. The agreement will be submitted to the French labor
authorities for approval, which is expected within the next 2 weeks.
With the mandatory special consultation and negotiation procedure being almost
completed, the project is now going to enter the implementation phase. This will
allow SFBT to start deploying all the accompanying measures for the employees as
provided for by French law.
Semperit Group still expects one-off expenses and exceptional charges of more
than EUR 10 million in total from today's perspective (as announced on 30th June
2017).
