"Klammer gegen Russi - Das Rennen ihres Lebens" on Play Suisse

At the 1976 Olympic downhill in Innsbruck, the legendary skiers Franz Klammer and Bernhard Russi fought a duel that went down in history. The 51 minute-documentary "Klammer gegen Russi - Das Rennen ihres Lebens" from film director Michael Bühler will be available on Play Suisse from 4 February and broadcasted tonight on SRF 1 at 20:05.
The young Austrian Franz Klammer is considered undoubtedly the favourite for the 1976 Olympic downhill race in Innsbruck. However, the Swiss skier Bernhard Russi who hasn't won any race for years, suddenly sets an almost unbeatable best time. The descent that takes place will go down in history as the greatest ski race of all time. The documentary "Klammer gegen Russi - Das Rennen ihres Lebens" is about this historic event and the beginning of a lifelong friendship between Klammer and Russi.
"Klammer gegen Russi - Das Rennen ihres Lebens", a co-production of SRF and ORF, will be available on Play Suisse from 4 February in German with Italian and French subtitles. In addition, the 51-minute documentary by director Michael Bühler will be broadcast today on SRF 1 at 20:05, followed by the talk show "Gredig direkt spezial" with Bernhard Russi and Franz Klammer as guests.
