Saxo Bank Announces New Board Members

Saxo Bank, the online trading and investment specialist, is pleased to announce that Lone Fonss Schroder is appointed new Vice Chairman of the board and Jacob Polny, former alternate member, will continue on as a full member of the Board of Directors.
Saxo Bank's new Board of Directors was approved by the shareholders at the extraordinary general meeting December 20th in Copenhagen.
New Vice Chairman Lone Fonss Schroder is partner and co-founder at Swedish Norfalck and holds board seats in International companies in the Nordics, in Europe, Canada and in the Chinese owned Volvo Car Corporation.
Jacob Polny, Principal at TPG Capital who acquired 30 per cent of Saxo Bank in 2011, has been an alternate member of the Saxo Bank board since December 2011 and will continue as a full member of the Board of Directors to ensure continuity.

The new members of the board will take over from Asiff Hirji, partner in TPG Capital and Kurt K. Larsen, Chairman of the international transport group DSV.
The founders of Saxo Bank, Kim Fournais and Lars Seier Christensen, owns through Fournais Holding A/S and Lars Seier Christensen Holding A/S 29.95 per cent of the Bank each. Leading investment firm TPG Capital owns 30 per cent.

Lone Fonss Schroder has over 30 years of Industrial and financial experience within corporate governance, from strategy implantation and business building mainly from EPCI companies, oil and gas industrial production, aviation, OEM, Shipping and logistics and financial institutions. She has heavey international board experience Lone Fonss Schroder began her career in the Maersk Group in 1982, where she became the highest placed woman. From 2005 to 2010, Lone Fonss Schroder was CEO and president of Wallenius Lines, the world's largest roll-on/roll-off carrier. She holds a Master of Law from Copenhagen University and Business Economics from CBS, Copenhagen.
Jacob Polny is a Principal at TPG Capital, a leading global private investment firm, where he leads TPG's investment activities in the Nordic region. In 2010, he was a member of the team that invested in Ontex, Europe's private label market leader in hygienic disposable products. Prior to joining TPG in 2008, Mr Polny was a Senior Associate at Altor Equity Partners, a private equity firm focused on investing in medium sized companies across the Nordic region. Previously, he was an Analyst in the Investment Banking Division at Goldman Sachs in London. Mr Polny holds a BA from Oxford University and an MBA from Columbia Business School, and currently serves as a member of the Board of Ontex SA.
