Denmark (ots/PRNewswire)
Joint press briefing prior to the Monaco Grand Prix featuring the Lotus F1 Team's Romain Grosjean and Marco Sorensen as well as Bjarne Riis of Team Tinkoff-Saxo at Lotus' motorhome.
Saxo Bank, the leading online trading [http://www.saxobank.com/forex?csref=b1744_Link_boilerplate_pressrelease] and investment specialist, will move into pole position with the Lotus F1 Team for the prestigious Monaco Grand Prix this weekend, expanding on its branding of the team's 2014 challenger, the E22, as driven by Romain Grosjean and Pastor Maldonado.
As reinforcement of the exposure and business-to-business opportunities Saxo Bank has enjoyed since becoming Lotus F1 Team Official Business Partner at the start of this season, the E22's sidepods will feature the distinctive Saxo Bank logo for the Monaco Grand Prix highlighting the bank's partnership with the team. Ultimately, Saxo Bank branding will feature on five race cars: The two Lotus F1 Team cars, the Tech 1 Formula Renault 3.5 race car driven by Marco Sorensen and the two Lotus Formula Renault 3.5 team cars.
Lars Seier Christensen, co-CEO and co-founder of Saxo Bank, has said:
"At Saxo Bank, we are proud to be supporting the entire Lotus team, especially Denmark's very own Marco Sorensen, the official Lotus F1 Reserve and Development driver. Lotus is one of the most iconic and successful marques within global motor racing, and the Monaco Grand Prix is the perfect platform upon which to exhibit the Saxo brand."
Prior to the race, both Romain Grosjean and Marco Sorensen, along with Bjarne Riis, founder of the Danish UCI ProTour outfit Team 'Tinkoff-Saxo' - which Saxo Bank has sponsored since 2008 - have been invited by Lars Seier Christensen to a joint press briefing at the Lotus F1 Team motorhome. This event on 23 May, 6 pm CET, will mark the first time that representatives of both Saxo Bank's sporting partnerships have appeared together.
Lars Seier Christensen added:
"At Saxo Bank, we know that if you want to facilitate change, innovation and extraordinary commercial performance, the key component is talent. This is why Saxo Bank is unequivocally committed to the ongoing support and development of talent through our sponsorships of F1, WSR and Pro Tour Cycling.
"Sponsoring these high performance sports is the embodiment of Saxo Bank's general approach and how we excel in our line of business. Everyone can relate to the efforts and sacrifices that Romain Grosjean, Marco Sorensen or Alberto Contador have made to get to the position they are in today. This can be used as an aspiration and inspiration for the Saxo Bank offering and business model."
