C-QUADRAT Kapitalanlage AG - a wholly owned subsidiary of C-QUADRAT Investment
AG - has received management mandates from Talanx Asset Management GmbH with a
volume of approx. EUR 300 million. It is due to assume these management mandates
in the 4th quarter of 2011. C-QUADRAT Kapitalanlage AG currently manages assets
with a volume of approx. EUR 2.8 billion. Together with Talanx Immobilien
Management GmbH and AmpegaGerling Investment GmbH Talanx Asset Management GmbH
comprises the Talanx financial services group, Germany´s third-largest insurance
group. Since late 2010 Talanx Asset Management GmbH has had an approx. 25.1 %
stake in C-QUADRAT Investment AG.
In addition, a framework resolution has been passed to establish a joint venture
with the goal of acquiring new clients in the institutional investors segment.
The two founding partners will each hold a 50 % capital share. The company will
be seated in Frankfurt am Main. Subject to consent from all relevant committees,
this company is scheduled to commence its business activities on January 1,
2012.
Assumption of these management mandates and the planned new joint venture are
elements of a project seeking to exploit the two companies´ reciprocal
synergies.
